Technology: File Under WTF?!?!....HydraDeck Humans

Multi-Sky 3D Scan Tools (mono) from Lee Perry-Smith on Vimeo.

Now I'm no stranger when it comes to virtual worlds exploration.  I have used the platform for creation of a virtual clothing line, opened stores to sell said fashion, used my avatar to model and do runway shows as well as create Machinima (animated videos). You can check out my other blog on my experiences here http://digitalimagefashion.blogspot.com/. This takes all of that an entirely different level.

Combining 3D scans of real life models in ultra high detail with the Oculus Rift and the Razer Hydra for movement controls to make one of the most realistic and spooky experiences in Virtual Reality. HydraDeck Humans is hyper realistic and combined with the rift technology, which allows you to don a headset that literally puts you in there. It could change the way we view movies and a host of other interactive 3D applications.

Imagine walking through the streets of Paris, floating in space looking down at the earth, visiting the Pyramids all on a virtual world platform with complete immersion. :-) Kinda of like your own private version of the movie "Inception".

I'm following this technology as it develops and do plan to try a demo. Second Life is already working integrating the rift technology into it's platform, which should make for a more interesting, rich experience.
